  • Positive Change renews contract with Delta Aviation

Following the successful launch of the system upgrades and customer portal for Delta Aviation’s website, Positive Change are pleased to announce that Delta Aviation has renewed its contract for further work.

The work that was completed by Positive Change has now been running for just over a month and several hundred customers have already booked through the system.

Progressing to the second stage of the project depended on the success of the first stage and now this has been proven, the next stage has been scheduled in.

“We are very excited with this news, it is always great when a project is so successful and we are looking forward to expanding Delta Aviation’s applications further”

  • Positive Change expands to London office

Positive Change has expanded its operations to include London. The move comes after a very successful year and the need to broaden its client base beyond Cambridge.

After appointing Richard Summers to manage operations and expand business in Cambridge, Directors Simon Clark and Heather Bateman have now moved to Richmond to run the company from a London base.

“These are exciting times and the opportunity to work in London means that the sky is the limit for us now. We have seen the standards of other web agencies in the capitol and we feel that we can offer a better service than most. We are already working with bigger clients and we have some interesting applications in the pipeline that should help all of our clients when they are launched.”

Easy access to London has meant it has been easier to win larger clients such as VSO (Volunteers Service Overseas), DNA consulting (Oxfam) and C-Scape (RNIB).

Full details of the work we are currently doing will be available when appropriate on the Positive Change website.

We will still be working with all of our Cambridge based clients in exactly the same way and project work will continue in Cambridge as it always has.

Our new phone number reflects our new national presence and is a local rate number. You can contact Positive Change on 0845 094 4468 or info@positive-change.co.uk
  • Positive change launches Bright Property.

Positive change has completed a four month web project for the internet start up company Bright Property. Positive Change won the pitch in August last year and started preparations for the project in September.

The website is aimed at buyers, sellers, renters and landlords and provides support for land and residential and commercial properties.

The website offers the chance to cut out the estate agents offering a substantial cost reduction to the seller or landlord.

The site offers extensive guides, advice, instructions to ensure both parties are guided through the process and therefore effectivey replaces the role of the estate or lettings agency.

Adverts are created on the site by any of the interested parties whether they have property or are looking for one. The process of creating an advert is designed to be user friendly and intuitive.

Each type of property or land whether for rent or for sale has its own customised process so that the questions that are asked when placing an advert are relevant and the property details sheet that is produced is completed with the right information for the right type of property.

This detailed relavent information means that searching for properties is also acurate and easy. As the number of properties grows over the coming months the detailed search will be extremely useful. Customers can search by a variaty of criteria including post code and nearest to.

The design was completed by one of our partner companies HalfPenny Design

The website is located at http://www.brightproperty.co.uk

  • New Member of Staff - Richard Summers

After a very successful year, Positive Change Creations has taken on a new member of staff.

Richard Summers is our new Senior Developer and will be running all web and desktop application projects.

Richard has been an IT programmer for over 11 years, graduating from Cambridge University with 1st class honours in physics and biochemistry.

After four years he started his own consultancy business working with clients within the oil industry to develop enterprise level applications, eventually specialising in the area of web enabled geographic information systems.

  • Positive Change Launches new website!

The long awaited website launch for Positive Change Creations has arrived. The website is the culmination of the business plan set out in January this year and over 3 months of content writing, design and development.

The new website clearly reflects the changes that Positive Change now offers its clients and is easier to navigate and find the information you require.

The website is divided into five sections:
    • Services
    • Portfolio
    • Company
    • Community
    • Contact Us
Each section contains information that will be useful for new and existing clients, and the community section will contain useful information for anyone working in the industry.

“We hope to share some of the information we have learned and are continually learning through the community section of the website. We have started adding articles about interesting stories, facts and technical details we think will be of interest to other agencies, developers, and clients who are working in the internet business.”

Positive Change hopes to raise awareness and interest in the internet industry through its community section.

“If more people understand what is takes to make a success through the internet and related technologies the industry will benefit as a whole and we will also be in a better position to win work and make a success of our own business.”

The portfolio section gives a detailed list of the clients that Positive Change has worked with and also details some of the experience brought to the company by the directors. Some key projects are presented in a Coffee Table Book which you can actually turn and drag the pages like a real book.

The Services section clearly identifies all the key stages in any project and how Positive Change can help at each stage.

Although the website is now launched is it finished?

“The website clearly defines what we do and what we can offer as well as some extra things of interest in the community section, however the site is not yet finished. In fact we don’t think it will ever be finished. We have already thought of some ideas to include such as interactive profiles of key members of staff, and maybe some video of Flash animations to discuss some of the topics involved in our business…

…The main thing is that the website will change and grow as the company grows, so it can never be totally finished.”

You can subscribe to any information in the community section you find of interest including company information either though email or through RSS feeds.
  • Positive Change Creations to Launch New Website

Coinciding with Positive Change Creations expansion plans, a newly branded web site is going to be launched at the beginning of next month.

The website is being written from scratch, the new design has been created to reflect the values of the company and to give a feeling of cutting edge technology with an organic look.

“We are a company who takes a holistic look at business and provide solutions for companies that help achieve their business plans. We wanted a website to reflect these key elements and to present our reliability and commitment to quality and innovation.”

The website will describe the services and applications that Positive Change Creations provides, whilst showing an interactive portfolio of existing clients and projects.

There will information about the company, giving up to date news about its achievements, new clients, project launches and also a section on relevant industry news which clients may find interesting.

One further exciting new development is the addition of a community space for clients to use. The space will allow clients to post news articles, keep a blog and a forum for discussions. The community space will be password protected to allow clients to chose who they allow to view their communications.

“We feel the development of this community space will help our clients to plan projects, communicate ideas and broadcast news much more effectively with their affiliates, staff, customers and partners. Most clients are still using email as their primary means of communication. By using this new technology it is possible to improve project focus and promote a framework of co-operation that is exceeds what can be achieved by email alone.”

We have several new applications and services we can offer clients, including RSS news feeds, both to and from web sites, advanced image and file management, all of our community software (forums, blogs, chat rooms, and a newsletter mailing engine) and improved content management.

Our existing applications and services have also been updated; a full list of these will be advertised on the new website.

“We will continue to offer our high standard of business strategy to help our clients with their business and plan for the future. Technology is just a channel to be creative and to realise your business objectives. Sometimes we advise our clients that they do not actually require our services. Our aim is help our clients achieve their goals.”

  • Positive Change Creations Ltd set for expansion

After three years of success stories, a solid client base and nearly 100% company growth in one year, the Directors at Positive Change Creations Ltd decided it was time for a formal expansion plan.

After hibernating away for three days Simon Clark, Managing Director and Heather Bateman, Director emerged holding a thick wad of paper bound together to form the new business plan for expansion.

The plan details three separate phases for expansion, the first phase is to re-evaluate and re-align the way the company presents itself.

“This will be achieved by combining all of the new services and experience which we have gained in the last year, to present a cohesive offering to our new and existing clients.”

Positive Change has already replaced most of its network and hardware with new faster technology to stay ahead of emerging technologies and has spent considerable time researching new solutions to provide ‘best of breed’ solutions where they are available and custom bespoke solutions where they are not.

The second phase of the plan is concerned with taking the newly presented offerings to market and winning new clients.

“We have just taken on new staff and by making our processes more efficient we are now able to take on a much larger work load. We feel with our new infrastructure, our new business partnerships and existing experience we will be more attractive to larger agencies and companies.”

The third phase which is expected to start in about one year’s time will be a re-evaluation and expansion into larger offices.

“We fully expect to require larger offices in about a year’s time due to an increase in staff and equipment.”

These are very exciting times for Positive Change Creations, as this plan will take them into the next level in the industry and put their name firmly on the UK national map within the IT industry.
